My lowest is #130-ish.

Also have one in the 600's and one the 900's.

It would be interesting to see sales numbers over the years.

Hard to say. Tw's were introduced in ALL markets simultaneously in '87, near as I can determine.

It's also hard to say whether "C" (Cali) models were numbered seperately from 49-state models as well. In that case there could possibly be two bikes with the same end digits.

The last four digits on my 1987 are 1075. I got the original advertisement with the bike. Very cool. I should prolly try to reproduce it.

In the U. S. of A. and Canada, the 1987 models were TW200T (49 state) and TW200TC (California). 1988 models were TW200U and TW200UC. I have no idea what "TWC200" would be.

1989 -- W

1990 -- A

1991 -- B

1992 -- D

etc.

To confuse the issue, different markets have different requirements for VIN numbers.

To further confuse the issue, the 2003 models were TW200R and TW200RC, except in South Africa, where the bike was known as TW200. Seems like each specific market rates its own sub-model code, as shown in parenthesis for 2003 models sold in English-speaking markets:

TW200R (5FYG) U49

TW200RC (5FYH) CALIFORNIA

TW200R (5FYJ) CANADA

TW200 (5FYK) S.AFRICA

TW200R (3XTD) AUSTRALIA

I have no information on non-English speaking markets.
