Seems like there was someone who did this, but searching the old forum is so unweildy, I'm going to let you try that option. I could not even reach my own tank thread or the MrGizmow overview. Something didn't translate. Maybe it will improve with time. Good luck. Tom

Based on my time here, and my involvement in researching 'tank mods', my recollection suggests I say no. Then again, no one said it can't be done. I think we have had a Clarke Husky tank, Yamaha XT 225, Yamaha 175, Yamaha XT 350. As well, we have installed a stock Yamaha XT 600 and XT 350 which are both steel. These of course are in addition to the tanks that someone actually cut-up and re-fabricated. Let us know if you proceed. Gerry

I tried fitting the 225 tank but didn't finish the mod because I didn't like how the seat and side panels ended up. Know anyone who wants a 225 tank?

What do you want for the TTR tank? I would like to try and mount it on my TW.

I had a ttr tank (500?) That was wildly different from the tw and XT tanks in the way it attached in the back. All things are possible but creativity probably needed. Look at it before committing. Shape was nice but mine was a plastic tank of unknown manufacturer. Luck. Tom
