I am looking for some lower profile turn signals than the stock kinda bulky ones. Any brands anyone prefers? Any plug and play signals out there? or do you just buy butt connectors and make them plug and play yourself? I have seen a crap ton on e-bay that seem cool. i just want good quality.

HodakaGuy has a thread on how to make the stock ones shorter LINK otherwise you have to find single filament lights for the back and dual for the front. If you have the front blinkers that double as running lights.

Skip the cheapest ebay ones. I threw a set of those on last season and they lasted no time at all. Had to break the tabs on the lens's just to get the cover's off as the aluminum screws stripped their heads long before turning.

We have several types avaliable at ProCycle. You just need to decide if you want to change over to a LED system or stay with regular bulbs. I plan on changing mine over to LED at some point and using the crash advantage LED signals. I have them on my Husaberg and really like them. Here's a link to what we have: turn signals

@ mr.B Thanks for the link, I like those crash advantage ones alot, and you need the diode kit to go with them. The mini signals are cool too. THANKS!

@kwizard no need to get hostel LOL.
But I value your guys opinion so thats why I was asking what you guys think. To be honest I didnt even know they were carbon fiber on the back I was strictly going off of the LED signal side style I like the faces of those.

Dude; why would you possibly care what we think? What do you think; is what's important. If you're buying them for me; thanks; but no thanks. I hate the carbon fiber looking crap that's going around. It just absolutely screams; FAKE,WANNABE, I DON'T KNOW SHIT FROM SHINE-OLA.

You'll have to excuse me; been sippen a little Old No.7.

those pro cycle crash advantage signals look really nice...i like the fact that they can bend that far without breaking...even if you don't ride offroad a lot how many times have you walked by your bike and brushed against the signal or had the signal catch some clothing and the rubber stalk bends...def a good design...that being said i went with these non-led lights cause i didn't want to mess around with resistors or flasher relays like i did with my sportbike...i just wanted smaller signals with rubber stalks and regular bulbs so they are more easily replaceable

Thanks ryan! are those the ones from motorcycle superstore (pictured)? I like those, everytime like you said I walk by my TW my clothes or pockets catch the stock ones, so i am looking for lower stalk and bulb size ones.
Ryan do you know if the front zignals were 2 wire or 3 wire bulbs on our TW's??

Thanks R80RT! does anyone know how to order 3 wire front turn signals? pro cycle has that cool 4 pack of "mini turn signals" on Mr. B's link. Do they come with 2 signals that are 2 wire and 2 signals that are 3 wire?

yes those are the ones from motorcycle superstore...and like r80rt said fronts are 3 wire due to the running lights and rears are 2 wire due to no running lights...you can order 3 wire and 2 wire sets from the link i posted...if you decide to go with them make sure you get some good washers for both sides...on the outside for something that the lock washer can ride against and on the inside so you don't pull the bolt out of the stalk (don't ask me how i know this
)...if you go with led lights you may have to wire in some type of resistor to slow the flash rate...not sure about the TW but i know some bikes when you plug led signals right in and turn them on they don't even look like they are flashing, just look like they are on the whole time...def test them before you put everything together

Depending on where you live, be careful of lights that are not DOT approved. As far as the wiring goes you can buy 4-3 wire turn signals and just use 2 of the wires on the back. I install new 3 wire turn signals on my Bonneville so the back would be running light, they just need to be Red in the back.

The ones on the ProCycle page are NOT 3-wire bulbs. If you used them you would no longer have the running lights in the front.

I'm going to switch mine over to LED and loose the running lights to save a little voltage for other things, mine is an older bike with the weaker stator... I will not use resistors because that will defeat the whole point of switching to LED's. I'm going to use a LED flasher and add another indicator light on the dash, one left and one right.

no problem Alex...just click on the "My Bike Thread" in my signature below and go to the second page...lots of pictures there...i don't want to clutter up this thread too much

and like Tony said be careful of non-dot approved signals...i don't think these signals are dot approved and neither is my tail light...but the guys at the chopper shop where i get it inspected don't seem to care

They didnt have them for a TW200 so I had to order them for a WR250X 2008 so I hope thats ok? I ordered 2 front 2 rear. hey ryan did they come with the plug in connectors already on them, like in the stock pic on motorcycle super store?

they are universal signals...you'll be all set...they will have the male bullet connectors like in the photo but you may have extra wire...most of the wire in the below photo is from my tail light not the signals...Alex def make sure you find some good washers for each side of the bracket where the signals bolt up (2 washers per signal) so the bolt doesn't pull out of the signal stalk when tightening
