Hello everyone!

It's been a long time since I have posted. It's been a long year for my wife and I, with an unfortunate series of events along with several planned things that took a lot of our time. Long story short, I haven't had the time to plan or pre-run any routes for this years Turtlepalooza . The good news is that this madness is ending soon, and we should end up with more free time. That being said, I won't have a Turtlepalooza event right about now, like usual, but I am planning on an early fall Turtlepalooza event. I've been leaning towards doing something in the area of Burkes Garden in VA.

I'll keep people posted as I start to finalize a location and date. I'm thinking somewhere in September.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Francois

We are back and forth to Knoxville all the time and have friends in Friendsville (it figures!). Maybe we'll touch base one day.

Hope everything is working out for you. Never heard of Turtlepalooza, but sounds like it might be fun!

Gap don't worry about it. Stuff happens to all of us. That said there are two events coming up soon. Sequatchie Valley Days at the Trials Training Center June 2-4 and The Blue Ridge Run at the Blue Ridge M/C Resort June 23-25.
I think the Blue Ridge is with in walking distance for you.

I'll be at the Trials Training Centre this coming weekend! I end up there several times a year. I compete in Observed Trials in the Southeastern Trials Riders Association. I really enjoy Trials riding. It helps you develop skills that can be useful in other types of riding as well .

Depending on what's going on at work, I may make the trip out there for the ride again. That was a lot of fun!

Yes it was. Maybe VA. has more logs we can play with!:D
As long as the logs don't reach out and yank you off the seat...

True. Also as I remember Va. has lots of big rocks. Seems Kelly and I would have a good time testing our skid plates there.

Update!!! It looks like they may move Valley Days from the first weekend of June to the second. If that's the case I'll post it if I can.

Well, It's been a couple of years since the last Turtlepalooza. Any of you folks have an interest in lighting this puppy back up for 2019? I have an idea that came to me on a dual sport ride a few weeks ago. This Palooza would be different from past editions, in that it would be about 80% off road. Not technical single track, but single track more akin to golf cart paths, well maybe not that easy, but I'm sure that Jonny Knoxville and the crew from jackass could pilot a stock GolfCart through 90% of of the course. Have any of you folks heard of the LBL200, It's dual sport ride that takes place the weekend after Labor day each year, check it out here (Google LBL200) What are Y'alls thought about piggy backing onto this event, any interest? corse is marked, provided fuel stop, lunch and dinner each day. awesome camp ground on the shore of Kentucky lake. What say ye? PS. this is Tim, I lead Saturday's ride at our last Turtlepalooza.

That's a little too far for me to ride home every afternoon like last time. However the last one was so much fun I'd travel to do it again.

That event fills up quick! Seems if your going to jump you need to do it soon. That said I can't plan ahead that far so I may have to pass.
