I've got an 87 tw and the battery won't charge from the bike. I'm not sure where the problem is or where to start looking. With the battery disconnected I have 0 volts coming from the battery cables. All the lights still work. Any suggestions? Thanks

Either your battery is toast or your regulator/rectifier is fried.

I have a good new battery. I have a volt meter and I cant get anything at the plug that goes into the regulator/rectifier either. 0 volts on all 4 wires.
