First off I just want to say my 2007 tw200 was bought new by me and has 6,000 miles on it. The base gasket has been leaking since ~4,000 miles.
It makes my blood boil to think I'm doing this work after I paid over$4,000 on a motorcycle which has been in production for many many years.
I would not recommend this bike to anyone.

Onward to the task at hand...
I was putting the new gasket on...... Here in this picture everything is going just fine and dandy...

Then as I was lowering the piston into the bore I made a final check on the gasket and o-ring.
The o-ring is missing.

I looked all over... It must have fallen inside. I used my super bright flashlight but I see nothing.
I turned the engine upside down, I sprayed WD-40 inside, I srayed with the air compressor and no sight of the o-ring.
I'm stressing really hard right now. I dont want to tare the engine down, I might mess something ELSE UP. I just want to give up. I've not felt like this in many years. Its alot of frustration between this bike and my truck which jfsklefjgsdlf is somewhat in the same senario where the new camshaft got destroyed and i have to pull the engine bac out

I found it!!!!

Soo lucky....
WD-40 got it to slide down to the bottom and I saw it with my flashlight. I bent a piece of metal wire into a hook and fished it out.
