One more afternoon ride in the talkeetnas. I love days like this sunny, dry, fast trails up in the talkeetnas with views that go on forever.

Very nice. Remarkable how miniature plant species abound in the tundra. Spend some time near the tree line or arctic circle and one wants to head south to hug a giant sequoia.:)

Those dwarf willows fascinate me. Theyre like real life bonsai trees, and they grow up where even moss and lichen have a hard time. Theyre literally less than 1 inch tall, but have a diameter of about 10 inches.
