I just bought a used 2006 TW200 and already I have to replace the base gasket. Not a biggie since the bike in still under warrant though GP Bikes.

But my question is, what else should I expect to go wrong with the bike as it has 6000KM+ on it? Warranty is up in about a month, so I'd let to get GP BIkes to look at any or all possible issues the bike might have.

Oh, I noticed a little knocking from what I believe in the engine, not sure if that is normal?

Also, it's kinda hard to get into neutral when going from first. I find myself carefully trying to do so, but seems to slip up to 2nd. So I then go back to first and then up to neutral. Sometimes it takes a few tries. Is this normal?

Sorry for so many concerns, but I would rather get them answered now before warranty runs out.

Thanks for any recommends, suggestions or anything else I should look out for.

Probably the valves you're hearing. That's normal. It's a noisy engine.

Neutral is also an "issue", albeit not a detrimental issue. I usually try for it from 2nd as I rarely get it from 1st, unless it's cold then it pops right in.

I'd get an o-ring chain (and new sprockets to go along with that chain) so chain maintenance becomes a thing of the past, keep the oil changed, keep an eye on valve clearance and enjoy. Last thing about the oil change, make sure you get the proper filter. There are accounts where others have unknowingly received the wrong filter.

Do a complete tune, oil and filter, lube, and service. Then get back to us.

TWs are clunky shifters. 1960s trans technology. Fresh oil will help, as will a properly adjusted chain.

North American TWs are jetted very lean. First, do a good carb cleaning. See what main jet you have. You'll likely need a rejet to make the bike run really good. Well worth the $10 and time invested.
