That looked like a fun ride for you all. And goodness gracious, I saw someone wearing shorts. Must be warm down yonder all ready! Pretty cool shot of the Hummingbird. It looked like a Hummingbird to me. It was, right? With the different shots of the TW's lined up, and the photo of the riders by their respective TW, it reminded me of the video that's been floating around the old guy's in Taiwan..."Let's Ride".
What a great day that was! XDAC was kind enough to invite me to join this ride in the copper mining mountains near Superior, AZ. A beautiful place and a fine bunch of riders. Although I have been dirt biking for 45 of my 55 years, this was my first ride with a group of TW riders. It was quite a bit more sedate than the hell bent desert rides that I have been doing and I like the TW style of trail ride much better. I took my first fall in many years about 5 seconds after Catt asked me to take the lead on a steep downhill filled with cantaloupe sized loose rocks. I made it 8 feet before a big rock gave way and spit out to the left which shot my front tire to the right. I was instantly face down in a pile of big rocks with my TW on my leg. Grace counts and those rocks didn't taste very good. That aside, it was a killer good time. There is no more beautiful place to ride off road anywhere in this world than Arizona. My 2010 TW performed flawlessly. Cheers.
