Mine, just time to move on from one of the most reliable and sturdy bikes in my garage. Pretty much modded over the years using the experts on this Forum to find and use the best to make the best even better. It's been a great time making her what she is.
Thanks for turning me on to her Gary.
Man, that is a nicely-farkled, well-cared for bike! I wish I'd seen it in time. Also love that shade of blue--someone got a nice machine! If anyone is selling something similar, please feel free to PM me. Thanks.

Apparently the vintage premium has gone through the roof, or the kung-flu fever has peoples pricing way off.

1993, 2600mi, free milk crate(?), $3600.

Given that he called it a "wheelie king", I'm thinking fever.

Anything I say is suspect given the dealer's pics, which were "awesome...", especially the lighting, porn-type, soft-focus filter/vasoline-effects, distance, composition and incompleteness.

I'm a sorta well-read TW200 noob (thanks to you Incorrigibles). I've never ridden a TW, but had dirtbikes, etc..., since childhood. That does look very clean, as nihil noted. I can't read the mileage (nor can I believe the dealer omitted it, in the ad, unless I missed it?) but it looks like 4,000-something. Can anyone clarify?

My take is it looks like a rather good deal, possibly because it may have done a majority of street miles vs dirt miles? (But be merciful when you school me, on my conclusions/assumptions.) Thanks. ;-)

If it runs, go get it! Good deal.

The picture quality looks more to be phone pics from someone who doesn't know much about composing a shot or using the available lighting properly.

I yelled "ENHANCE!" at my computer like 3 or 4 times but still couldn't read the odometer. Might be worth a quick call to the dealer to get that info, and ask them what the history is.

The things I'm seeing are stock bars with the stock control cable straps still in their factory position, the sticker on the tank looks complete, the sticker on the front fender looks complete, the plastics don't have wear/scarring, stock front tire that still has some tread, stock grips that dont appear torn or worn, the seat looks to be stock covering that isn't stressed or cracked, the black paint on the wheel rims doesn't appear to be scuffed or flaking, stock exhaust with no rust on a 2003 model, etc... It does look like it was bumped as the left rear turn signal appears to be bent downward slightly, but I wouldn't let that put me off.

If I had to warrant a guess as to its history, I'd say someone bought it, rode it for a bit, then parked it for a while before trading it in. It appears much the way I found mine when it had only 916 miles on it at 8(I think it was) years old. The absence of mirrors and bolt-on bling could also mean riding school bike. If I were looking for a TW, I wouldn't hesitate to consider evaluating this one in person.

That being said, it could also be an abused high mileage beater that had its plastics and stickers replaced and was thoroughly restored, but that's a lot of effort for a low margin bike. if I were to bring it home, it would get fresh rubber bits in the form of tires and fork boots at a minimum.

At any rate, if you're somewhat nearby and even remotely interested in buying a TW, give them a call and make them send you better pictures.

Thank you! I say this to my wife, occasionally (because she has to listen to me, kinda/sorta): "An expert demonstrates their knowledge not by commenting on what's there--but rather, on what's missing." And TW-Brian and Nihil, among others, prove me correct! LOL I never noticed this:

"This bike appears to be missing mirrors, skidplate and possible the muffler mounting bolt near the right rear passenger peg bracket. Not a bad price though." And this was an eye-opener, as well:

"The absence of mirrors and bolt-on bling could also mean riding school bike. If I were looking for a TW, I wouldn't hesitate to consider evaluating this one in person."

Very insightful, useful observations--as were those I didn't mention. (And I thought I was being observant noting the presence of the disc brake! LOL.)

Your analyses are much appreciated--this website is among the best!!!

Find someone to buy my 944 in the next couple hours and I'll go pick it up today. I'd like to add another TW to the collection, but my better 3/4 has implemented a strict one-in = one-out policy on wheeled toys.
