I'm too busy too and while I do plan a run up to Seattle this week I don't like driving the "inland route" through Reno during winter I have been caught in zero degree snow and ice storms in the area too many times

Wow. I guess that's Covid pricing, correct. The manufacturer's suggested price is $4799. I guess I won't be making a TW purchase any time soon. Thanks for the reply.

the good news is that you probably can't find a new TW to buy regardless

the market has been strong for 2 years and if you buy at todays

prices you can always get your money back TW'ws are a sold

investment possibly unparalleled in the moto world

So when I get to the dealer you think they are going to jack the price up? Bummer. I know motorcycles and all recreation vehicles are scarce now, but I'm used to haggling. I've never paid full retail price much less over retail price. Oh well, I need to sell my XR650L first.

I've told this story before but ride south (west) in Glendale listed a nice 2005 TW for $1995 when they came back from the rubber room with the total it was $6800 and this was back when a mint 2005 was wirth barely $3k

I asked the salesman how he could scam people like that and why can't they be honest? of course he said they were always honest lol

I ended up buying the TW for $2500 OTD which was still a steal

it had 105 miles and they gave the retired CHP officer who owned it $300 trade in

I hear you. I'm just waiting to hear back from a couple of dealers. I'm not confident they will quote me a decent price, but you never can tell.
