Alright... Newbie here. I have inherited a 2012 Tdub... Have put 4k miles on "WhiteLightin" since October. My question to my fellow members is: If you were going to build the"Perfect" Tdub, what modifications would we choose??? I have been reading some of the members posts/ mods and they are AWESOME!!! Where are we going to start!?!?

Depends what your using it for...grocery getter or for trail riding. I have mine set up for only trails, and a cycle gear rack, proper gearing/tires, and a extended swingarm is pretty sweet. Looks like your a local guy...we should head out and ride!

Let's see your TDub?

Not sure if you know yet, to post pics here, the best way is to put them in photobucket.com and then click on the imgage link and paste them in here.

I will do that ASAP... It's all stock right now. When I talk to people who ride, they seem to look down upon the Tdub because of its size... I say screw em... After finding this forum and seeing bikes like yours, I believe the sky's the limit!!! My bro in-law has a CRF 250 and its pretty sweet... I believe I can do better...

Cant compare the crf to the tw...ive ridden with "real dirtbikes" out at some singletrack sycamore and the tw/rider cant keep up...the suspension and ground clearance has you limited. I take my bike on most 4x4 quad rides and find that to be a comfortable pace.

Ha Ha, don't let him kid you, I know from personal experience damn few Quads could keep up with him!!!

But the point is, the TW is a TRAILBIKE......a remote decendant of the Honda 90 Trail, and that is its beauty, it's not a rip-snorting, rooster-tailing dirt bike that can go 75mph on a trail most of us couldn't walk fast on....it's SLOW, and FUN, and RELIABLE, and most likely won't hurt you.

My best advice about whats the best build is, make it your own.
Thats the whole point of why we modd our bikes right? is to put our flare/taste on a bike and fit it to our means. Like the other said what do you want to use it for? i built mine for street use and street use only, not that it cant do both but it seems like most TW owners lean to one side dirt or street.
