Using trufuel brand canned gas

I have a 1993 Tdub and a 1993 Harley. I had given the TW to my brother-in-law back in 2002. He gave it back to me about five years ago. It was running very rough and would die after about two minutes. A generous use of Startron and SeaFoam (alternating tanks) cleared out the carburetor and had it running fine. Ever since I only use non-ethanol fuel and treat it with Startron. I also have it timed out that I can turn off the fuel shortly before arriving home so it will stop running within a minute or two of parking the bike in my driveway. I do the same with the Harley.
Even though my bikes sometimes sit for a month or two (I work a lot too). I have never had a carburetor related problem since adopting this practice. The combination of non-ethanol fuel, Startron, and running the carburetor dry seems to work well for me.
Should you need help finding non-ethanol fuel I suggest going to pure-gas.org to locate gas stations that carry it.
(I live in New Jersey where it is only possible to find it at marinas or airports, which also makes it more expensive. Luckily I’m not too far from the New York and Pennsylvania state lines. It’s a bit of an inconvenience, but totally worth it to me)
Hope this helps you out. Good luck with your new TW! View attachment 250132
Startron for me also. I use it in my dual sports, dirt bikes, and in my small engines. Sometimes the bikes sit for 6 months over the winter and the snowblower sits for a couple years depending on how much snow we get here in PA. No issues since I began using Startron a couple years ago with either ethanol or non-ethanol fuel.
