She had to have been scared and so thankful. I just had to post this one. We've got to take care of our gals out there. :)

I had something similar happen with me in Houston, 1981.

I was in a car. Traffic on the Eastex Freeway was ALWAYS horrible during rush hour...eight lanes of gridlock. I was in the center lane, stop-and-go...when my front tire went down. Have no idea how fast - it hit the rim while I was stopped; I just felt it when traffic started moving. And then it was; and I couldn't pick up the pace to get over to the right side. There WERE no shoulders; this was on an overhead viaduct, about five miles long with descending on- and off-ramps.

A trucker blocked each lane for me until I could get it over, at walking speed. Good luck had me right by an off ramp so I could get the mess off the bridge to where I could change the tire.
