We were out yesterday, I could here voices. I finally saw where they came from.
5 bicycles were riding a trail along a canyon wall.

i told wife there are things I’d like to still try at 72, but taking a bicycle and having to pedal it on edge of a mountain isn’t on my bucket list.

They a bunch of vendors set up about 3 miles south of willow springs road. Plus some where they have bikes to test ride.

I've MTN biked twice in Moab, 2008-2009, late October each time. Amazing riding. Haven't been back since and I do miss it. I know I'l l get out there eventually, but my mountain biking has definitely tapered off for me this year. Turned 51 last June, and my stamina and strength levels are off. I know a rigid exercise/diet plan could fix this, but I have been on the motorcycle every nice break in the weather, and I 'm looking forward to a trip out west.

Its my experience that the bicycle does not start as well as the TW in the winter, but the heater on the bicycle far surpasses that on the TW. Go figure.
Randy, pick up all the pretty rocks while you are there and take them to Quartzite to sell. There is a place called yellow cat mine north of Moab that is famous for red limb casts (petrified redwood sticks), but its also famous for mud so you might want to let it dry out a bit before entering. I know about the rocks in Quartzsite, we’ve been going there for12 years, and bought a house there for or winter home 4 years ago.

At 72 my stamina is shot.

Been in Quartzsite since oct 17, absolutely. No vendors of any time when we arrived. A whole different story now. Each year there are less vendors from years past.

i visited the rock club so my wife could sign to make a basket with a rock in thee bottom. So far it looks like that 1st basket will be around $61 to make.
I’m thinking I should have just bought the basket now.
