My $30 (delivered with tax) Wal Mart battery came in today. I installed it, with the help of some hi density foam tape (worked ok, may look for a more sturdy solution after trying this out for a while). It is definetly smaller and a bit lighter. The qulaity seemed decent, easy adaptation of the stock connection and came fully charged. I verified by sticking it on a charger with voltage detection and AGM charge mode (2AMP). The bike started easilly and the lights and signals appeared very bright. I stopped and started a few times, let it run until it stalled (I try and run the bowl dry every time in the winter, even with treated fuel). I will report if I have any issues with dependabilty or capacity.;)

Again. that's a 6 amp-hr battery, smaller in capacity than what's recommended. The other one in your pic is 8 AH. Hopefully it will work for you if your bike starts quickly every time, but if it takes many attempts to start, for whatever reason (like when it's cold for instance), you might have a dead battery much earlier than with the higher capacity one. Like everything else, you get what you pay for, and smaller isn't always better.

No, I knew it was not exact, a number of forum members have used the same size and many web sites give this size as the agm replacement formthe stock part. It is a 6AH battery, but it is also 130cca (there is a formula and they are different numbers) It turns the bike over great, the lights are noticeably brighter with no dimming at lower RPM (I am sure the old battery had been detriorating slowly over time). If you read through several of the batrery threads, it seems there is not an exact size replacement for the stock battery in AGM. If it works, I am happy to loose the weight too, it was probably 1.5 lbs. lighter than stock and up high on the bike.To each there own, I just wanted to report for those looking for alternatives.

Stock TW can put out 2.5amps, so not to much different than in the [email protected] rpm. Charger is a semi auto and has agm setting (it auto adjusts voltage and charge rate), but it was pretty topped off anyway.
