I am looking for an old seat for a 2001 to experiment with....

That's going to be a tough find. The 2001 had a one off seat that is now sought after by collectors. Lol, just kidding, all of the seats are the same except color. Don't know what kind of experiment you're doing, but here is an old beat up one you could probably pick up for cheap that may work for you if you're planning on recovering/refoaming anyway. Or maybe a member on here has an old seat laying around.

Thanks Rodney, I am planning on cutting the foam down to make the bike lower for my wife...

The one listed for sale is off of the extremely rare 1986 model. Hopefully no one will recognize it's rareness and bid you up<G>!

biglefti is just playing with you. There is no such thing as a 1986 TW - they didn't start marking them until the 1987 model year.

The seats are the same for all model years. It will fit your 2001.
