heading over to New Hampshire today to get another TEAL GREEN TW200 !!

awesome !

then Sunday over to Syracuse,NY to get another TW I won in eBAY for $750.

last night I won another on eBAY for $700.01 !

That is in Louisville !

wow, I need a big map with push pins to keep track !

each little TW has a story to tell !

each one will need a little TLC to get back to 100% !

each one will get a fresh/cleaned Carburetor !

new chain ?

oil and filter and swing arm grease !

Cyclerack racks front and rear

tubes with spare gas can

then they will be ready to offer someone 75 MPG of fun transportation !

WHEN IT HAPPENS

AND I HAVE NO DOUBT IT WILL HAPPEN !!!

AND WE ARE FACED WITH A SHORTAGE OF GAS IN THE WORLD, THESE LITTLE BIKES ARE A REAL CHEAP INSURANCE POLICY !!

i have accumulated a lot of crap in my life, which I am now starting to pass on to other people looking to accumulate !

these little one cylinder two wheeled blessings are soooo cool !!

I am NOT looking to make a lot of money with this venture, just have some fun, and sharing these bikes with others looking for basic reliable fun economical transportation on a small tropical Island in the winter seems like a lot of fun to me !

I don't golf !!

what else is there to do ??

Hey man, I have a '89 TW, It's red and black, has all the plastics. The speedo is a trailtech vapor. It also has the big footpegs and a ricochet bashplate. Airbox removed and replaced with a K&N. Thing is, I was riding it on a trail when something happened, dont know what, but, it's stuck in gear, but wont move (maybe a rock locked it up and killed the clutch plates?) and the exhaust manifold pipe which was original still blew out though the rusted spot. Engine still runs like a charm and starts right up every time though. But man, it needs some TLC now. TLC that's beyond my means, so it's time for me to give ol' Sally up and move on. If you want to see her and make an offer, let me know. I had to walk home, so I'm going out at first light tomorrow to take the chain off and roll her out. Anyone else see this and wants to talk, let's deal.

Time to clear some things up:

First, when you hit your head hard enough wiping out in the dirt, you dont really think too straight. The tranny is actually just fine, is NOT locked up and shifts like it should. I was able to go out with some tools (which I didnt need) and ride ol' Sally out of the woods. I had gone into a rut (or grazed a stump or something) that knocked the chain off, which then locked up. As a result, the clutch plates may need tightening, but are probably fine because they are fairly new (as is the gasket on both sides of the crankcase). Thank the genius who invented the wet clutch for that. Im also really REALLY glad that didnt happen at considerable speed. Let that be a warning to people who DONT tighten their chains (because I DO, and it STILL managed to happen.

Second, both rear turn signals are busted but they were not stock anyway. The rear brake light is good and is a wally world buy; round tailight that shines onto the license plate.

Third, the rear drum brake is probably the same one it came with in '89 and needs to be replaced. The front brakes are just fine though.

Fourth, there are no mirrors, and both parts the mirrors screw into need replacing.

Fifth, I have not looked, but it is possible the chain sustained a little damage from locking up. Although, I was hardly puttering along when it came off. It's worth mentioning that the chain and both sprockets are also fairly new. I put them on about a year ago so the chain is not stretched out.

Sixth, As mentioned, the exhause manifold pipe is BUSTED and there is considerable rust, so I will get back on how it goes removing it.

Seventh, THE ENGINE IS A-OK!! She started right up; the girl's always been good and faithful to me. Starter is good, works every time so long as my startup procedure is followed. For your reference is goes like this: Bike in Neutral, Full Choke, Squeeze Clutch, Kick Starter (YEP IS HAS ONE AND IT WORKS!) 5 Times, THEN Run Switch ON, Press Start and PRESTO! Adjust Choke as needed and warm that baby up!

Eighth, there IS a good dent in the gas tank, as well as some visible rust on the inside; and the petcock needs replacing.

Ninth, the horn is AWESOME! It's an extra loud Wolo I got from Advance Auto Parts.

Tenth, she needs fork boots and the front fender is NOT stock, it's a universal UFO that I mounted up high.

I think that is it? All told, it's a pretty good project for someone with the money or desire to fix her up. Her guts are reliable. She just needs some lovin on the outside to pretty her up.

LIke I Said I am in Brattleboro,VT and am open to any and all negotiations for the bike as a whole and WILL consider parting her out but my desire to do that is pretty low at the moment. I mostly wish to sell it outright. I have the original title (somewhere) but she is so old that no DMV, RMV, whatever, will issue you a new one. It would be a Bill of Sale transaction.

secretStash would you be interested in selling your vapor trailtech? If so what model do you have and how much would you need?

It's the model compatible with TW, um, I'll have to get back on the model number. It reads out speed through an induction wire wrapped around the spark wire. Has a thermostat. The speed sensor mounts on the fork or wherever and reads a magnet on the wheel. It really is an awesome unit. I'm posting pics soon. Let it be known that I am already engaged in negotiations to sell the bike outright so it would be up to him if he wants that as part of the deal or not. Will have to get back to you on that.

Manifold pipe came off just fine, will be no problem to put on a new one. Saved it so you can put on original heat shield should a new one not have that.

secretStash, cool... if the deal falls thru let me know... if you wouldn't mind tell the potential buyer that I'd be interested if they want to sell the vapor unit.

Thanks for the reply

Dont know about this guy, he kept saying he was in the area and wanted to by mine. Then he has my address and I dont ever hear from him again. Wont answer the phone. Wont return anymore emails. Dont know if he's dead or alive. Dont know if he changed his mind. Maybe he went back to the Virgin Islands to see if his hut was blown away by the hurricane. I dont know. All I know that is if he did indeed change his mind, it's rather inconsiderate to leave me sitting around wondering. Maybe we're all getting a serious trolling here.
