Hey all. Still out here and still touring on the TW200. Last year covered 8 states and crossed Ontario, Canada. Set a personal record of 653 miles in a day during this trip for the TW. Did't try to out-do the '78 trip from Sturgis of 1571 in 26 hours or the run to Texas on the v-star of 950 or so miles in 13 hours.

Thinking of heading to Florida in late December to visit my daughter/grandaughters and son-in-law at Jacksonville. Probably head down the coast to Miami (more relaatives) then to Key West...up the west coast and back to Jacksonville. Any back yards to camp in along the way would be appreceated.

Anyone know the maximum water depth a TW can handle?



The ability to ford creeks and rivers is an essential element of driving/riding in Appalachia.

Almost all crossings are under 16" deep, with 12" about average.

Maybe post whore but the maximum depth water is a dynamic number



If plowing through then the air cleaner is in a pocket made

by the motion. On other bikes I have crossed with water

1/2 way up the tanks if moving at like 10 MPH

Hey JB...thought you'd retired by now and moved to North Carolina. Yeah, could handle West Central area. Wanted to hike a section of the Florida Trail anyhow. Send me your phone number. Of course you, xracer and any forum member are always welcome to lodge in the spare appartment (newly remodeled and usually empty). Added a frig that is usually stocked with Fat Tire Pale Ale...forum members beer of choice.
