Webcam has offered $40 off their cams to forum members.

Minimum commitment of 10 orders. No time limit. PM me and I'll put you on a list until we get 10. There is a refundable core charge and you will need to ship your old cam to Webcam for the refund. Shipping will be on your dime, both ways.

Offer applies to 40A, 89 and 89A cams which are all applicable to the TW. Anything above the 40A will definitely require new valve springs. Spring kits are not included in the offer.

Member cost for the CAM ONLY in the 40A grind is $85.20 USD.

http://www.webcamshafts.com/index_blank.html?pages/vehicle_search.html

Don't bother looking up the TW on the site because it will only list the 40A.

"THE LIST":

1. FootDoc

2. Greendub

3. Atleastbehandy

4. tw200sgp

5. Atleastbehandy, The Sequel.

Call Debbie at Webcam to see what does and does not constitute a usable core.

If you send them something with damage on the bearing surfaces it may not qualify, for example. Lobe damage may be less significant as they hard weld over it, anyway. But be clear on it or you could end up eating the core charge. I fergot to axe. Sorry.

The 89A.

Bear in mind these cams use the stock lobe centers. You're gunna move your torque and horsepower around in somewhat linear fashion, but it's gunna move, and most likely to the upper rpm range with the 89a.

I'm not gunna turn this into a cam selection thread. Webcam has no dyno sheets for these cams, so do yer homework.

A few members have used the 40A and I think a couple have used the 89. Fire up another thread and see if they come forward with their impressions.

I'm in for a 40a. How can I pay? I am in Singapore and would need shipping to Singapore as well.

You'll get the same price as everyone if we get the orders.

Shipping to Singapore could be a dealbreaker. You should look into it first.

I'll look into it for you tomorrow.

Remember that this involves shipping, times 2.

Once when Webcam sends you the cam and then when you ship your old cam back to them. They get the core charge up front and refund it upon receipt of your core.

Is there any advantage to replacing the stock cam with this one? Or is this mainly just for older bikes that may actually NEED a new cam? The only "performance" mod I have done is tuning my carb.

And how much is the core charge?

I have no problem shipping the core back from Singapore. I have previously tried to order the 40a on their website but they don't allow foreign orders. Hence my interest in this group buy. I'll paypay you the money for the buy and the shipping from your home to Singapore in advance if that would work.

I spoke to Faith at Webcam.

There is indeed a problem with the ONLINE order form when ordering from outside the U.S.

Instead those outside the U.S. should conduct orders via EMAIL.

They also ship via USPS or UPS to anywhere in the world.

There will be no issue with getting your cam and you can set it all up with them once we have the 10 commitmemts.

Count me in!

I was about to pull the trigger on a new cam - valves are shot on my 2005 so I thought "Might as well get a new cam too!"
