Went thru a tank and a half of gas today! Off and on rain all day. Lotsa mud, and road with couple guys on Kaws for awhile. I am really lov'in this whole TW experience. I will have to do some fine tuning on the front forks. What a groovy little motorbike! Mike

P.S Rain precluded taking the camera today, so no pics again. :(

There isn't a ton that can be done with the forks, although I just changed out the stock fluid for the same weight and filled it per spec, I am sure I could make them a little better if I got the fill height perfect. We are headed north this weekend, but I think we will end up at our cottage in Gladwin, not Tawas. Maybe sometime you can venture out a bit further and we can show you the trail system there. You can ride trails all the way from Grass Lake to the Gladwin ORV system.

Wonder where the Ruffed Grouse are in their population cycle this year? Drumming reports look good:rolleyes:?

Search around on this site. There's quite the bit you can do to help the forks. Depends on how much you wish to spend. The tightwad thing to do is simply slow down. All required info is here somewhere.

I have seen some grouse this year, seems like they had a good spring. I spend my time deer hunting for the most part. I am fortunate to have friends with tracts of land here in Metro Detroit and Traverse City to hunt private land. The trail system is good and gettign better here in MI. I still miss being "Out West" (mountains, coast, variety of terrain and space) but I think the current trail system and ORV laws are pretty favoreable here. $36 gets you legal on most right of ways north of "HWY 10" and the trail system is well mapped and fairly well marked. I think we are up to 34K miles of marked trail just in the Northern Lower peninsula.
