Shift lever & motocross boots

I have a 2018 T-Dub with new 2" foot pegs. I can barely get my boots under the shift lever without hyper-extending my toes. I adjusted the stock shift lever as high as it would go before it hits the engine case. Has anyone had the same problem, if so, any suggested solutions?

bought one in 2018, and have not had any issues. it even has a bend so it clears the engine case, but need to think what if i dump and it punctures case
bought a second for my trail repair kit cause stock does not work with size 12 mx boots.
