I got mine back together but I am going to have to clean the carb. Rode it up and down the street. Valve job, New mirrors, New horn, New cam chain guide, New IMS collapsable shifter 317314 that fits tight unlike the stock one. New battery also, SYTZ7S an agm battery from batterystuff.com 130 amps for $40.00. Cheapest battery I have bought but so far so good. Spins the engine right over. Nearly ready for the streets.

I got the same seat pad but stuck it on my Radian instead of the TW. On the TW I cut the air filter tube to the carb since it never connected anyway. I had bought a 2" tubing from Sears hardware. I cut, trimmed and adjusted until I got it to fit right. I still have to put the clamps on but I will now have a solid seal from the air filter to the carb.

I rode mine. I finally got my carb back on with my modified air intake. First time I have really had it going since the valve job and all. 42,345 miles. Also 1st carb overhaul. First major work since I have had it with 125 miles bought used. I have used Valvoline 20/50 car oil 90% of the time. Valvoline motorcycle oil if it was a great deal. I begin using a little Lucas to get better clutch grab years ago. I use marvel mystery oil in the ethanol gas. The cylinder was perfect, changed that leaking base gasket finally. Front cam donut bearing had no wear. It is running great, just need to change the fork seals and boots.

What these guys call hills are sometimes more like a mountain with no place to turn around. Bike buried in mud and stuck is hard to get out and hard to push. I have a kicker so I have run dead batteries for years sometimes. Normally these are easy to push but in bad conditions, it is another story. Snow would be a pain.

I got my new wide foot pegs on today. $15.00 from Ebay. I did have to drill one hole bigger for the mounting pin and cut the spring tip off just a tad. I also hit them with some Rustoleum Hammered. The foot pegs were about 3 times the weight of stock. Still worth the money to me. Painted the fender and bracket. I rode up and down the street between paint coats.

About 50 - 70 here today. I rode to my Mom's. I was contemplating putting a blaster shock on but I don't want the backend up 4". I have a blaster shock available for sale if any one is interested. $30.00 Please read cautions about this mod before considering. I had a great ride. Finally a place I got the throttle wide open, it hit about 65mph.

I just putted around a little locally today. The other day, my new IMS shifter almost dropped off. Ever since hitting that dog. I got the bright idea to drill a hole through the shift shaft, shifter and all then put a roll pin through it. The down side is there is a high probability of snapping off a bit. Instead I drilled a hole through half of the shfter and tapped it out. I then put a set screw in it. I glued it all together with red locktight. I put the locktight on the shifter and shift shaft, on the set screw and on the tightening screw. It doesn't move at all. I do have the option to remove it with about 500f heat if needed. My other Yamaha shifter is sloppy also. I think I will do the same. I wish I would have thought of the set screw a long time ago. So much torque now from the Chinese cam my clutches are slipping. I'm waiting for them to come in.
