In looking at pictures of your bikes, I see that some have a tachometer. Was this an add on or just some years had them? My 2006 does not have a tach. Can I put one on from another year?

They are all add-ons of one kind or another. I put in the Vapor as I needed to replace my speedo too. There's a bit of a delay as well, and the bar is not as intuitive as a dial. Does the job but not quite as good as a 'real' tach.

No tach on any year. Any you see are aftermarket.



Here's the one I put on. Can't say it's real great. It' lags behind actual rpm, and is not very easy to see.

Here is mine and my homemade mount. Big time lag in reading but I like it anyway. It also functions as an hour or Hobbs meter keeping track of engine run time.

Seems, even with the time lag, I find my "tiny tach" useful when making a carb adjustment. Gerry
