Wow. New custom exhaust trend. It'll sell like hotcakes. Bet it's good for 10 horsepower, no?

Patent it. Call it a "PowerPort". Charge $300 fer it.

Shave the lugs on the right side, only make left turns in the loose

To late now but another option is to take a ball peen hammer and dimple the pipe a little. You might first have to take a propane torch and heat the pipe up, but dimpling might create just enough clearance.

Start by welding up the decibel leak, then go to a more reasonable tire.

I know a lot of you like the really gnarly looking tires but considering that rear wheel spin is not a problem on TWs,

Why cause yourself the problem. You have to unweight the rear wheel to get it to spin even in sand.

The tire it comes with is a very good match for the bike and there are aftermarket tires that may be a bit better without

going to this extreme. If you are gearing down so much that the tiny engine can torque the tire to slip you are losing enough

top speed you might as well be riding a Rokon.

Rokons use goddawefull tires and actually make them work if you like life at 28 mph.

BTW my suggestion for the weld job would be to cut out the dimple and weld on a patch so as to not impede exhaust flow.

Correct...on a stock 50 tooth sprocket underpowered tw wheel spin is not a problem. I want more. I dont leave my trucks stock, my rzr isnt close to stock, so my tw wont be either. Stuff from the factory isn't good enough for me. It might be for the average joe who owns a trailer queen and rides it <100 miles a year. I buy my stuff to use it, and i stick to what works. There are no other rear tire options for off road use for the tw anyway.

Have you ridden a tw set up for the trails with a larger tire and or taller gearing? Probably not. Not talking about a rokon..i can run faster than them. Wheel spin doesn't matter to me...as long as the power goes to the ground to move my fat ass up the hill, im happy. The larger tire is so much more stable, more grip around Forrest road corners and is just a better built tire for my desert type of riding. Infact i was going up a loose washed out hill today in first gear and my tire wasnt spinning but i had to let off the throttle to stop my front end from coming up..with the stock tire id be spun out in the middle of it trying to clutch and throttle at the same time. So a little hole in the exhaust form tire rub is no biggie for me. It just means i get to spend more time taking this bike away from its factory-coolness.

put a spacer where the muffler bolts up to give it a slight bend enough to clear the tire. Make two plugs. One for the muffler the other for the header side. Drill hole in header side plug big enough to fit a air gun nozzle. Tack weld up hole but leave small 2mm hole left. Heat up the area, plug up holes, get air nozzle turn up pressure. The pressure will push out the dent. Once dent is pushed out tack up final hole. Done. Something we use to do for two stroke headpipes with dents or holes.
