Nice. I didn't see her "shifting" during acceleration, even with paddles. Automatic? I guess at these speeds there's no way you ever want to take your hands off the wheel.

Airshifter, watch her left index finger before/during shifts. A lot of bike drag racers run these systems, I even know a few guys who run them on their daily ride sportbikes.

Dang that's fast!

I met Valerie at the National BMW Rally in Sedalia, Mo in 2012 and have a nice photo of us that she signed. Quite a gal. She rides BMW's. Congrats to her and her team :headbang:

It is pretty incredible (man or woman). I like the view from the cockpit best keeping an eye on the digital speedometer.
When do the the Salt Flats timings begin and end? Last couple weeks in August... something like that?

I remember seeing "The Green Monster" at the NY Auto Show in the '60's when I was a kid and always wanted to go out to the Timings.
Got the bug again after seeing the movie "The Worlds Fastest Indian".

Went to Skagit Powersports to watch a free showing of the documentary Out of Nothing featuring one of their staff. This is an inspiring movie about some local men that made their dream of setting land speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats come true.

How come you never see a TW200 at Bonneville?
I've never been to Bonneville so there could be TW's, who knows?

Last night I told some friends maybe I could win a class on the TW. That's the draw to Bonneville, a regular person with a passion can find a class and become a world record holder.....could be one of us someday. Won't be me, it's way too hot down there for me which is really causing me a little anguish right now. Last night they told us that they need volunteers for the week they race, I would really like to do that but with that heat and the glare from the sun radiating off the salt flats, I wouldn't be any help at all. I heard from everyone that the folks down there for the event are the nicest most helpful folks you could meet. Apparently they even give parts to people competing against them. That just goes to show, it's in their blood, they want to set a world record but they know the guy next to them has put many hours in to get there too so they are willing to help him fulfill his dream as well. That shows they are good honest folks who love the sport.

So, contact them and take your TW down....even if you are just riding it around in a volunteer capacity. :D

I think it was Lizrdbrth who was planning on trying it. I know someone mentioned it, but don't remember for sure who.
