I'm looking to buy a clutch basket, needs to be a TW200 with 73/17 please.

Send me a PM if you have one to sell.

Thanks,

73 / 17 is the teeth on the gear, the larger putter gear has 73 teeth and the smaller inner gear has 17 teeth.

I bought one that somehow has 74/17 and doesn't fit the bike but is identical in every way. The bike I have is a 93 I believe. If you'd like to sell it, please let me know. I think it should fit.

I contacted a manufacturer about the clutch basket and can have them made, but it would be quite a few, not sure if anyone would want to be in on an order of a few dozen or a 100 or so. I'm in a bind and need one (3 really) thought about seeing if anyone would want some and get some pricing on some units so we could have some. Just a thought.

The TW200 Primary ratio is listed as 73/22. I wonder where your smaller, crank gear came from? The 74 tooth clutch could of come from a TW125, AG200 or BW200. (74/20)

Uh oh, are you sure the BW200 is a 74/20? Because I just purchased an '86 TT225 clutch assembly that is 73/17 to convert my BW to a 6 plate clutch... Skin Walker, if AGman is correct and this assembly won't fit my bike (I would just check it myself but the bike hasn't been delivered yet) than I would love to sell it to you if you are interested, should be a nice bolt-in upgrade.

Here are the two clutch baskets...

The one that is tagged "73T" was taken from my 1993 TW200 engine, while the other was bought from another forum member,

There is some kind of part number on the inside of the basket near the Yamaha logo stamp.

The 73/17 has, "A-048-01 K", while the 74/17 has "A-048-02 K" on it. I cannot find any reference online to these model numbers.

I am pretty confused...

The Yamaha Microfische file for this part, #5, has it listed as a 73-17 as "3NS-16150-00-00 PRIMARY DRIVEN GEAR COMP.73/17 1 $331.99"

Well mine says "K A-065" on the right and "1KH" with the Yamaha symbol cast on the opposing (left) side, if that adds to your confusion at all...

My bad. OK, I know whats going on now...the primary drive gear I'm talking about is part 1 in the fiche link above. That's the actual primary drive gear off the crank. The 17 tooth gear you guys are talking about is the one that meshes with the kick start idler on the back of the clutch basket that isn't actually a part of the primary ratio. The primary ratio is taken from the crank gear (1) and the clutch basket gear.

Yea mane, I'm down for that! Either that or I'll have an overseas factory make 50 and I'll have to sell them. Sell me the enigine if you want!

They aren't making them anymore for the older models it seems.
