Just bought a 2012 XT250 with 932 miles on it, However the guy said he drilled holes in the airbox tube before the air cleaner and the exhaust baffle, He said it made a power difference, I think I would have like it a little quieter, Im one of those people that dont think Im smarter than the engineers, Do you guys think he was right or should I weld the holes back shut and epoxy the holes in the air box intake to get it so it doesn't have the little pop when I let off the throttle.

Get on Adventure rider XT-250 forum and you will get the help you need. If it has stock exhaust
he did not need to cut the air box so plug and cover the holes.
