r80rt's instructions from the prior post are spot on! it's a great swap. i trimmed my plastic and glued the post tab on the back for a better fit.

i'll post some pics tonight.

Glueing the post back on is a great idea, I just tucked the plastic behing the "ear" on the tank. I may just have to give your idea a try, thanks!

Aside from Brian's silver and gray, I think this color combo is the best they made. Even better than my black and white combo.

i also played with the black and blue seat from my "new" '06, but i think i like the all black better.

i had to file down the tab inserts a bit, because the hole is partially blocked by the frame.
