Hey You all!
I am fresh member of TW200 Forum as im looking to get one for myself.
As im in Europe (Estonia) that means we have a lot of TW 125 and very little TW 200. There are none of them for sale in Estonia that means i would have to import one from another country (about 400€ / 450$), but my question is should i get TW 125 or TW 200?
The selection for TW 125 is huge, the prices vary from about 1000- 2000€ (1100$- 2200$), but the TW200 on the other hand are hard to find (not impossible) and prices are higher, around 1800€-3000€ (1950$- 3250$).
TW 125 is 11.6hp / 8.6kw
TW 200 is 16hp / 11.9kw
I am not looking for highway rocket as i am mostly doing trail riding, dirt roads on the countryside and maybe some commuting to work inside the city where speed limits are 50kmh / 32mp, but i want the bike to have enough power in the trails, to dig through mud etc.
My main question is the 200 worth almost double the price over the 125?

Thanks,
Silver

Welcome to the board

The most common complaint on the TW125 is that it is underpowered. Try out someone elses first if you can, and make your own mind up …..

Thats probably the best way to find out which to choose.
I know a guy who has TW125 here, but its on an small island where he has his summer house, so probably can test ride it in summer, meantime i will keep my eyes open for good deals for TW200, if anything good comes up i will take it.
I actually found one in Italy for good price- 1800€, its a 1995 model with 10400km (6460miles) on the clock and looks pretty clean, also the price is under 2000€ (2150$).

Here in Ukraine we have a bunch of companies, which will import a bike for you from an auction in Japan. After shipping and registration it ends up to be pretty much market price (2000-2500 USD for 2001+ bike). You may have this option in Estonia too.

125 vs 200 - Very similar power going down steep hills. Just plan your rides accordingly.

Kidding aside, in the dirt I would bet the 125 would be similar and plenty. But road riding 125 would be underpowered - the 200 often is, while in the dirt I never feel short of power. Usually cruising and climbing in 2nd and 3rd gear on trails. But maintaining 50 on pavement up hills or in strong head winds can be a challenge.
Both will be fun tho.
