Yet another weird electrical problem

Situation:

2007, 3,000 miles.

Yesterday, 60 mile romp, ran perfect.

Last night, tried to start it, All electrical dead. Nothing. Zilch.

Pulled seat, battery voltage 12.8, all connections were tight.

Cue Twilight Zone music.

During the battery checking procedure, 3 times, the full electrics came back on, including bright headlight.

EACH time, I pushed the starter button, OR turned on a blinker, a slight click came from the right hand side followed by total electrics off again.

This happened 3 times. I don't know how or why the power comes back, or what's causing it to go out.

It can't be battery, or a fuse, but it has something to do with a load being applied, even a blinker, despite the headlight being full on.

I'm lost.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Remove both leads from the battery --- Re-attach both leads to battery.

Should fix everything.

The battery connections may look good but I bet they need a little TLC.

Hope it works. It has worked for me.

BINGO!

Thanks so much.

Tight, does not mean good electrical contact.

While I had the battery out, I noticed that a couple cells were low.

My son lives in Viera.

Next time I'm down, the beer's on me.
