well, it looks like i am starting a new chapter and trading my TDub days for a mobility scooter, but not one of those little dinky ones that don't get any respect on the sidewalk. has anyone ever seen a Boomer Beast 2 in real life, they look like they will fit my life style pretty nicely. 45 kms per hr and 40 kms on a charge. they want an extra $2000 for the fancy batteries, so we will be getting the lead acid. i'll have to put a trailer hitch on it so the wife can haul her garden wagon down to the compost. i guess it is true, when one door closes, a another opens. this should be fun....https://youtu.be/hMzQUMEo0wY...

Sorry to read this, Mr. Greg! At least it already has the ATV tires mounted on back and the raised front fender.

Thanks for sharing this , I’m 62 and will be there soon. Cant imagine just stopping after 50 years of this wanderlust lifestyle.
I learn a lot from my elders and it eases the way if you can plan ahead.
yes, it isn't easy for me after 53 years of riding. i can substitute 3 wheels for a while, so that should slow the with drawl. it's still hard to go past the TW and not be able to ride it, and i just can't seem to list it for sale yet

I'm sure the step through design making for easier mount and dismount is one of the major draws. And twist and go ease of operation enhances the user friendly attractiveness for the Mrs. as well. Grewen may have to buy his own!! :)

I know one of the things I sure like about the TDUB as I've gotten older, versus the tall KLX250 I used to ride, sure makes it easier on the hips throwing a leg over it. So the step through certainly is appealing on the Boomer Beast if it helps the aging battle.

If Honda releases the CT125 I'm sure part of the attraction will be the somewhat step through approach as well for those that may want to keep riding a while longer.

Best of luck to to you and the Mrs. on your new adventure, Greg!

whatever you do, don't put a foot down in front of those rear tires while moving. it will eat your leg and pull you right off the machine. some nerf bars in front of those rear tires would help

Grewen, I don't know you well enough to say this, but I know you well enough say that I am so darned glad that you did not get yourself killed when you were 25 and really trying hard to do it.

This scooter is just icing on your cake as I see it.

If you are close to sunny southern Oregon, I'd like to stop in and see you.

Oh man tearing around Walmart with your mask on and handicap card out! Couple canes sticking out to knock stuff off shelves. True Adventure
I couldn’t bear to photo but I had to do similar thing, bought myself a walker........falling down too much and walking silly. Getting old ain’t fur sissies but secret is to keep riding.
I can still ride, stopping an issue.....Strapping on the walker challenging on bike.

For mods: www.electricscooterparts.com ..maybe 48V brushless 1800W will have you drifting in the snow....

A buddy made a 3-wheeler once in the '90s with a Yam 650 Special frame and engine. I totaled it into a rock wall (not much for brakes) and he laughed like Hell. He said that everyone who rode it totaled it and he had rebuilt it 3 times already. Just something for you to shoot for....
