I've adapted this modern LED headlight to the TW200. It's a plug and play kit. More details soon!

that sure seems to pump out some light!

would it work with pre-2001 bikes?
how many watt is it?
is the video demonstrating high and low beam?
DOT legal?

looks to be a great upgrade to the weak stock headlight.

That's strange. I've received a few international orders this weekend without issue. Maybe try refreshing your browser?

You can always call me and order over the phone. We could also go through PayPal or personal check.

Yes, this kit will work with all years of TW200.

The video shows both the low beam and high beam.

The low beam has two 10W LED/projectors (left and right) and one 15W LED/projector for the high beam (center). The low beam stays on when the high beam is powered. So that's 20W on low beam and 35W on high beam. The manufacturer claims the following specs, not huge lumen numbers but easily twice the output of the stock headlight and at a lower amperage (leaving more watts available for aux. lights, grip heaters, etc).

Low: 1,100 Lumens
High: 1,800 Lumens
Color Temperature: 6000k
Lifespan: 50,000 Hours

No DOT approval due to an optional daytime running light that glows red. It is wired separately so it will only function if you go out of your way to wire it to a 12V source.

I see Harley-Davidson is been selling aftermarket “black” headlights (the leds are clear) for $400 and $575.

Hey John - nice product.

No DOT approval due to an optional daytime running light that glows red. It is wired separately so it will only function if you go out of your way to wire it to a 12V source.

Does it function as a normal white daytime running light without the optional red one wired?
What do riders use the red one for?

Thanks and cheers

No one has actually answered my question so I looked it up on the google. Is this what is referred to as the black headlight here on the forum?

Black vs. Chrome vs. Smoke Lamps
When you're shopping around and comparing headlights, you may run across terms such as "black", "chrome", or "smoke" in the Product Options fields. Depending on what's available for each design, our website may ask you to select a color from among those choices. A "black" headlight is one that has a black background (bezel piece) visible through a lens cover that's clear - not tinted. The size and quantity of lighting elements within the assembly determines how much "black" shows. Similarly, a "chrome" headlight is one with a chrome background bezel piece. more details on - https://www.carid.com/articles/how-to-choose-the-best-custom-headlamp-assembly-for-your-car.html

Yes, the background is black. The optics are clear. Same light output and pattern as the chrome version.

This is the photo the manufacturer sent me. Black on the left, chrome on the right.

Just placed my order.
Would prefer black if it's available.
Willing to wait an extra week or two if necessary.

And... DAMN, now it looks like I'm gonna have to convert the other TW lights to LED.

One of the beauties of enhanced lighting is it makes one want to go out and enjoy it. Why not extend the riding day to watch the moon rise then meander home chasing that nifty new beam pattern? Night trail riding on a hot summer's eve can be a wonderful experience. The more light the better although the dim stock light can be an adventure in it's own right.
This time of year with the days so short having additional lighting makes a late day ride more attractive if one can just bundle up for the cold.
Nice new headlight option, hope someone can post a photo of the beam pattern next to stock, or a video of bike underway showing illumination.
