Well, I went in and paid for the 2025 TW yesterday. They even offered to deliver it for free on the same day. Delivery guy shows up. You could tell when he started it on the trailer that it had a super low idle, and would die when he gave it any gas. He finally got it going by keeping the revs up and got it off the trailer and into my garage. he killed it. I looked it over. Then I tried to start it and it didn’t start easily at all — having to try many times. Once it started, the idle was really low. I tried to give it gas and it would die every time. Started it again, and I lust let it idle on its own. Idle got slower and slower, until it just died in about 30 seconds. The bike has one mile on it! When the dealer said he was getting it ready for me to go in I thought that meant filling it with gas and starting it up. And making sure it worked. I don’t even know how the delivery guy got it on the trailer. I imagine he could not have driven it on. Since it would have just died. He had to push it On. I don’t know why de just didn’t say “this thing isn’t running right” and brought it back to the mechanics shop. I failed to even check if the choke was on. Because that could have been it. But the idle would have been high. I asked the delivery guy if he put the choke on. He said no. but with everything going on, I didn’t verify. He called the service department and they tried to walk him through some adjustments. Maybe the idle screw on the carb. But he couldn’t turn it, and obviously, I didn’t want the delivery guy diagnosing the issue. So, I asked him to take the bike back. He did. And then he messaged me about 30 minutes later saying “They got it fixed” and he could deliver it back. I told him let’s do that tomorrow, which is today. But I need to talk to the dealer and ask him I can get some detail on why a new bike would have such problems? And as I said. I had two new 2021 models, so — I know how they start, how they should idle and sound. And this area I live in is not at any elevation, so — I am wondering — it couldn’t have been a carb jet issue. I am just surprised that they didn’t start the bike and test it before delivery. The shop is quite large with many new bikes on the showroom floor. They are obviously a large volume dealer in my area.
