WOW...
Have you been suffering from delusions again, TWilight, or have you just forgotten that it's not April yet? HahahaShhhhhhhhhhh........I was sworn to secrecy............and had to sign my butt away to Yamaha..........so I cannot confirm nor deny that a TW400 being made by Yamaha is in the works. Using the SR400...fuel injected engine.
As Sgt Shultz would say....I know Nothing...Nothing.
I can easily imagine that lineup in the KTM service department.
I can hear the gears turning -- I bet TWBrian is searching ebay for a 400cc engine right now!I'm impressed!
Looks like very nice work to me.
Now we need the details . . . . . .

Agreed. I think Yamaha could really do very well if they introduced a TW400 like this, as well as a WR450R. There is real and current demand for both those models in the U.S. market! Basically, take design principles for models already in their lineup, and add more power. If Yamaha put that bike on the showroom floor, I'd have to add bike #5 to my stable...
Damn, I got too many toys. I need a life. And by life, I mean date. Retail therapy is bad for my bank account!
Some Yamaha engines were single cylinder with 2 exhaust valves and 2 exhaust pipes. (2 intakes valves too) This may be one of those engines. This looks like a 2 cyclinder engine and not an SR400 engine. Seems like I can see and exhaust pipe on the far side in the picture. Plus an SR400 engine looks different.

Great street TW upgrade, but probably a little heavy for the off-road TW crowd...
