hours of looking at pics on the web of yamahas, it was decided from day one to keep as much as possible factory made , and that helps with matching parts from different models too saw the wheel on ebay ,and could see the bolt holes on the other side of the hub so checked on the net for discs found it was the same as the xs in pitch and boom twin disc with no messing about

Genius! The brake hose splitter and the front fender look right at home.

Did you consider using an exhaust header from a thumper that has twin pipes with one cylinder? It would take a bit of fab work, but an XT350 header would do as a starting point. That would allow the exhaust to exit on the right side only, like a stock TW. A Honda XR400 header would be even better, because it's stainless.

And Englishnick, your build is very awesome. Your brain is making good decisions regarding braking, and not over tuning for max power. Will there be any problems regarding frame engineering caused by twice the size?

still here been having fun on the bike , its 4 years on and it still pulls like a train will put some new pics of it to show its still in great condition , might be selling it soon as a new project is under consideration ,
I would be very interested in buying it, if we could somehow get it to czech rep :D
