Ronnydog, any updates?

I finally got another bike to run the TW250 6 speed in. It ran like a bad ass up to about 3/4 throttle and then did not have the power I wanted. I'm working on a 32mm round slide carb and cam but this takes me alot of time since I'm a novice Shadetree Mechanic. I do miss not riding it, and going up hills in 2nd and 3rd that you would normally go up in 1st.

I need to drop it off with Mrbracket!!!!!!!

Needs something pink.

The shafts are both TW200, the top one I cut a new groove to match the TTr #2. I made a spacer #1 and used the 6 gears from the TTr on the TW long shaft.

Many months ago I had the same idea.

But I wasn't sure if this works or not.

Does the transmission working well?

Or do you haven't tested it?

That there is one smart idea if it doesn't make you ears ring.

You should go to work for Supertrapp. That's how you make their piece of junk work for real.

The two tubes on the end of the baffle in this picture look like they have been sawed off. The only parts of a super-trapp I've ever seen before are the external baffle plates. I've never seen the interior baffle assembly before.

The two tubes I did saw off to fit into the TW pipe. The Supertrapp is an old unit I have had around awhile. It was made to fit Kerker, Jardine and J&R pipes 650cc and less.

Trans works great. The extra gears are fun. I would like to try the XT225 gears next time.

Thank you very much for this info.

No. Not easily, anyway. The main problem is the tranny output shaft and its oil-fed bearing. The TW shaft is longer than most anything out there in order to clear the rear tire.

With a bit of parts swapping the XT and TTR motors can be made to swap as long as you use the 5 spd. TW transmission and output shaft. The 6 speed calls for a custom output shaft and gear spacers like Ronny's.

I assume that besides the gears and shafts pictured, he had so swap in the shifter drum from a 6-speed? Anything else? Are the shifter forks etc compatible?

Even just any small bore increase would be nice with the 6-speed, stroking it is great but sounds like it requires more intake & exhaust work. Are there other Yamaha heads that would drop on?

Well, we'd have to grind a groove into the TW shaft for any 6-speed. So what other engines will such a shaft fit into?
